Ability to disable Window panel hover previews

Please provide an opera:config switch to disable the floating window previews in the "Windows" panel. (By "WIndows" panel, I mean the panel that appears in the same place as the Search, Bookmarks, Mail, Unite, etc. panels.)

The floating window (tab) previews that appear when I hover my mouse over the window (tab) names in the Windows panel, are a nuisance, not a help. I want to see the surrounding window (tab) names, not the contents of the particular window (tab) I happen to be hovering over. I'd like to be able to turn off the preview entirely, or if not, at least to be able to set a very large delay time before the hovering preview activates.

Agreed.

There is absolutely no benefit from showing these previews. I have all thumbnails previews disabled, but they still show in the Windows Panel.

Logically, they should be displayed if the user has enabled "Show thumbnails when hovering tabs," but not otherwise.

I don't think a separate option is required. If the user has disabled the above option, it is safe to assume that they don't need them in the Windows panel either.

They also show when dragging tabs away from the tab bar to drop on the page. Again, if I have disabled the option to show thumbnails in tabs, I don't want to see them when dragging tabs either.

There is a more elegant solution, move the tab preview display to the LEFT/RIGHT of the item (outside the panel), without obscuring any tab in the list. Placing preview on top of the list is a bad design, so move the preview to better position will improve the feature & get rid of OP's problem.
