Opera 11.60 - buggy and broken?

Why are there so many reports about broken websites and other stuff, was version 11.60 tested at all before release?
So many sites around the web gets javascript errors, even operas own websites. A lot sites dont render properly.
Is it because of the new html engine and ecmascript v5.1 ?
Sorry but thinking of downgrading to 11.52 until things are explained and fixed.

Sounds like a problem with your configuration, but without a link to any sites that are allegedly "broken" your report is worthless.

I'll have to agree with the OP and say it's buggy alright. I usually populate about 15 - 20 bookmarks when first run Opera. It's my primary browser and I have noticed that it's quite buggy.

Here's an example, I try and scroll with the mouse wheel after all the pages have loaded the scroll response from the browser is intermittent and jerky. Using the mouse with The scroll bar works well enough. Next example, when I try to close one of the tabs with the X on the tab it will not close at all. Next example, the browser causes my Windows 7 install to default to the Windows Basic theme(I assume due to perfomance issues). I open Firefox, Chrome(multiple tabs), even IE and non of them were experiencing similar issues.

I was not experiencing these issues prior to installing 11.60 today. I've cleared the cache and run CC to try to alleviate the problem to no avail. I expect that with the next update this will be cleared up. I love my Opera.

I just reinstalled 11.52 over the 11.60 install and I am no longer experiencing the issues I mentioned previously. An example of a site that is just buggy in general and has been "prior" to either of these installs is http://www.cnet.com/. I tried it with other browsers and it works fine. It apparently has not been optimized for use with Opera.

I installed 11.60 a few days ago and, after the initial disorientation (e.g. the completely different mail panel), I'm very happy with the results. It seems to render significantly faster than 11.52 and so far it also seems to shut down a lot faster (one of my main bugbears with Opera lately). When I start Opera, the mail panel seems to load much faster. I have not noticed any incompatibilities yet.

@nicotinic

I typically have 6-10 tabs open, and have not noticed any problem with mouse wheel scrolling. Tabs close fine, without any particular delay. Cnet.com seems to work fine but is somewhat slow on my oldish PC. I never tried it with 11.52 though.
