11.60 problem with mail sorting

I upgraded to 11.60 and I have the following issue:

I need the mails sorted by date and I need the most recent on the top. In some occasions Opera puts the most recent mail at the bottom, while the previous recent messages are still on top. I tried the settings - Overwrite default settings and so on but it stays. It`s funny that it happens sometimes only - in other occasions the mails go on top as expected. This happens in "unread" and "sent" folders (in fact I never mark the mails as read - I prefer to view the last month only).

I checked the forums but maybe I miss something. Does anybody have such issue?

My system - win xp sp 3.

Thanks in advance.

Under the global options, it should be set to "sort by date" and "group by date" and ascending should be unchecked. Then, under the view-specific settings, you shouldn't have to override unless you want something different.

However, I believe that if you have "do not group" set, there's a sort by date bug that still needs to be fixed.

Of course note that with threading enabled, if there's a new reply to a thread, the thread jumps up to the top.

Thanks, I`ll check on Monday in the office. Yes - I have "do not group" - I`m not quite comfortable with this yet. Hope to skip the bug somehow - it`s important for me. Do you have experience with downgrade - I`ve downgraded several times up to now with no mail loss, but those were versions with small mail improvements? Anyway, I`ll check and give feedback. And also hope to fix the bugs soon as the opera integrated mail is very powerful client, although not many people understand this.

You *might* be able to downgrade to 11.52, but I don't think any older as there are irreversible changes to the mail files. But, then again, you might not be able to downgrade to 11.52 even. I forget what build was the first with the major changes (not just looks).

Ok, I managed to sort the mails without bugs by checking "Group by date". Now everything works fine. I totally like the quick reply option to reply to all.

BTW do you remember the row command for the label "no label"? I can edit the menus, but it seems that one of the previous updates changed my custom menu (in fact it always messes up with my custom menus) and now Opera misses this label, while I need it.

Thanks in advance.

You mean a shortcut (keyboard/menu) to remove all labels from the message? Not sure if that's available any more and you have to remove each label from the message separately. I could be wrong though. The command might still be around somewhere.
