Check or un-check the enable single key shortcut (Setting>Preference>shortcut>keyboard shortcut)

Why there's option of "enable single key shortcut" in keyboard short cut setting ?
What is it for ?
It trouble me as below:

I assigned a keyboard shortcut of "ctrl 1" for --> Set mail view type, 0 | Set mail view type, 1.
It never works & I spent numerous of time & finally by chance, I found it seems due to "enable single key shortcut is checked".
I un-checked the "enable single key shortcut", Ctrl 1 then work perfectly on --> Set mail view type, 0 | Set mail view type, 1

I won't be able to make the Set mail view type, 0 | Set mail view type, 1 works by Ctrl 1 if I did not un-check the enable single key shortcut.

Also, I have my own custom set of keyboard.ini stored on desktop so that my opera:config pointed my keyboard to C:desktop/keyboard_standard (1)
However, after I unchecked "enable single key shortcut", Keyboard.ini changed itself to point to it's default opera install location. C:/opera...ui/standard_keyboard_compatible.ini

Why ?

Opera had to get rid of single key shortcuts a while ago because users were triggering lots of shortcuts on accident and doing all kinds of things. Opera had to make it more difficult to invoke the shortcuts. The option is to restore the old behavior for advanced users. Single key shortcuts are not enabled by default. You have to turn it on.

Not sure. Do other non-single-key shortcuts work in this case? If so, I assume there's just a conflict somehwere. 1 ctrl is set by default to get to the first speeddial under "application". Not sure if it would conflict or not.

Don't know. I tried it and it sticks at my customized keyboard.ini, even through a restart. So, can't confirm.
