Welcome to the My Opera community!
Need way more info. Need to know what version you're using now, what version you had before, what OS, whether you're using the standard skin or not (under "shift + F12 -> skins"), whether you're using a customized menu setup or not, and whether you tried going to "ctrl + F12 -> advanced -> toolbars" and switching to "Opera standard" for the toolbar setup and recustomizing.
Also, we need specifics of each thing that's wrong.
You can't change things to exactly how they were in 11.52 if that's what you're talking about. But, <http://my.opera.com/operawiki/forums/topic.dml?id=1196552> will help you find most of the settings so you can tweak things.

You download the installer for the older opera, run the installer, click "options", set the install path to the folder your existing opera.exe is in and click install/upgrade.And how can I revert my Opera instalation to previous one? right now Im at 11,60. Installed in before one hour and mail is practically unusable.
Just note that sometimes when there are major changes to the mail client, the mail client has to update your mail files. In cases like that, older versions of Opera will no longer be able to use your mail files. I don't know if this is the case for 11.60 -> 11.52 (haven't checked yet myself). You'd have to try. But, always backup your mail folder first before upgrading or downgrading.
Hi,
I'm having lots of problems with the new mail client and my mail database (consisting of 10,000+ messages) appears to be unusable. Hope someone can help.
The scenario:
- I (foolishly) had automatic upgrade enabled in Opera
- The installation was upgraded to 11.6
- Won't go into details as they've already been posted lots of times but the new mail UI is -truly- awful. On top of that, there are bugs in this release causing characters to get corrupted on screen making the entire application unusable.
- I tried to downgrade to 10.5 but got a message saying that my mail files couldn't be read (I noticed that burnout426 recommended that mail be backed up before upgrading but how is that possible when you have automatic upgrade enabled?)
- I then said to myself, "OK, I can live with this mess long enough to give me time to switch to Thunderbird" (note: I've been a loyal Opera user for 10+ years and am livid not so much about the updated UI, but that there doesn't seem to be any way to return to the previous appearance. I also reviewed/tried the various configuration settings described by burnout426 but it seems simply not possible).
- Anyway, when I went back to 11.6, it couldn't find my mail and none of it seems accessible any more (the database appears to have been initialized although I can still see the mail out there in the cache). I suspect that 10.5 modified some path somewhere and now 11.6 can't find the mail database.
- How can I validate my configuration/.ini settings so that 11.6 will pick up my mail again?
Thanks.
