AVG antivirus identifies cookie4.dat as virus
I think this can be a reason for me to never use opera. Why antivirus identifies opera cookie4.dat as virus?
This is a false-positive from AVG Anti-Virus. According Avast! Anti-virus and Panda Anti-Virus Pro cookies4.dat file is clean.
Windows 7 SP1 x86 edition and Windows XP Service Pack 3.

This is probably a false positive. You have nothing to worry about.
cookie4.dat is where your cookies are stored, so either AVG marked it as suspicious because there's a domain in there which is known as a malware site or the binary data just happens to look like a virus.
If you don't care too much about your cookies, you could just delete them and start over (this will log you out of all websites, clear session states etc.), this should get rid of the error message as well.

I don't know about this case but cookies4.dat could be containing tracking cookies. Tracking cookies are often treated as low-risk viruses, that's why the user is never alerted by most antiviruses I tried - Norton, Panda, Avast!, BitDefender and Microsoft Security Essentials - for tracking cookies. I remember once having AVG on my system and yes, it sent heavy and distracting alerts just for these small issues.
