Unexplainable poor performance on specific forum

First of all I'd like to thank the Opera team for making the best browser for Android by far. I recommend it to everybody for it's superior performance and awesome features!

Device: Samsung Galaxy S II, Android version 2.3.4

Opera Mobile version 11.50

I have an account at www.hongfire.com, which is a basic forum site without any ads (if registered and logged in).

Generally Opera is superior in performance on all kinds of sites when compared to all other browsers on my device, but not on www.hongfire.com. I experience jaggy scrolling and slow loading of pages. Sometimes it never finish loading, for instance if I click "go to first unread post" from the user control panel. If I try the same in the built-in browser, the page loads almost instantly. There is no noticeably poor scrolling with the built-in browser as well.

Since i often visit www.hongfire.com I would abandon using Opera, but all the other superior features like touch link zooming, superior handling of editing text, better tabs etc make it very hard.

Is there any explanation of this behavior? Is it a known issue with a specific version of vBulletin? Maybe I can change some setting in opera:config?
