Opera mail Client: IMAP sent folder empty

I have a problem with the new mail client in Opera 11.60

the Sent folder as set in the Opera IMAP properties should map to the Sent folder of the IMAP account and list all sent messages
While everything works for the first time you set the Opera IMAP Sent folder, after restarting Opera the Sent folder does not list any messages,
although the messages still exist.
Removing the Sent folder from the Opera IMAP properties will list all messages again.

I have 2 IMAP accounts, but strangely this happens to only one.
FYI, both accounts used to work fine with older versions of Opera (i recall since Opera 8).

What mail provider for the problem IMAP account?

What if you delete the IMAP account and add it back in?

Use the "standalone installation" option in the installer to install to a folder on your desktop. Setup the IMAP account in it (do not import or anything). See if it works fine there.

Also, you can log the connection for the account to see if the IMAP server does anything weird when you select the sent IMAP folder.

thanks for the imminent reply!
both accounts are university mails using custom mail servers/services.
deleting the account, or unsetting the sent folder from the IMAP properties will fix the problem until restart.
If i don't set the sent folder in the IMAP properties, the client will list all mails as it should.

using the standalone installation works like a charm, and no problems arise.
I also compared the mail logs between the problematic (original version) and the working (usb installation) opera which turned to be identical.

* OK [UIDNEXT 1743] Predicted next UID
* OK [HIGHESTMODSEQ 2]
000T OK [READ-WRITE] Select completed.

from what i understand the client knows that in the sent folder there are 1722 mails, but it doesn't list them.

another issue I came across what that unsubscribing (not deleting) from an IMAP folder will sync with the server and delete all messages in the folder. (thank god for daily backups!!)

just an update.
i finally managed to get it to work, by selecting the Sent folder and modifying the "Settings for this view"
Specifically I check the override default option and on Show I checked "Show Sent".
By doing this all sent mail are listed.

However, on my second mail account everything works as it should without overriding any default settings (show sent is unchecked!!), which is kind of weird...

"Show Sent" for the folder should be automatically checked when you set it as the sent folder. However, if you've been upgrading for a while, that might not happen and you'll have to manually set it. Glad you got it to work.

If it's also set as the sent folder in the account's properties and "show sent" isn't needed, that is indeed weird. Not sure why.
