How can I change the font color of incoming email using Opera Mail Client?

Since I set the overall background of opera to black and the default text color in Opera Mail is also black, I cannot read emails conveniently. And I found the email font color in preferences->advanced->fonts unchangeable. So I wonder whether there are other ways I can change the text color or the background color in Opera Mail?

Are we talking the panel, the message list, or the message text? Message text has been controlled by a CSS file named mime.css, see opera:config#UserPrefs|MIMEStyleFile for the full path on your system.

I mean the message text. Thanks for helping me with the mime.css file. I edited it as follows:

omf|mime {
color: WindowText;
background-color: white;//transparent;
display: block;
}

omf|body, omf|div {
color: WindowText;
background-color: white;//transparent;
display: block;
}

Emails of plain text really appeared perfectly but html formatted emails still have black background, and mostly black or grey fonts. I 'm wondering if there are ways to change the background or font color of HTML-formatted emails in opera mail client?

Should probably use the color defined in Preferences > Web pages as Background color, unless they actually supplied their own choice of colors.

It' s weired that they only use the background color setting there, not with the font color setting there. I can only set the background to a dark green rather than black now. Thanks!
