Intervalworld.com
This came up recently in the General forum I believe, after I said that I wrote the webmaster the thread was closed, so I guess I'm supposed to post this here - though really from there answer I'm not sure if this is the right place. So far as I can tell (not being a member), the site works fine if you identify as IE or Mozilla. If you ID as Opera, then after the page loads you get redirected to a "Nonsupported browser" page. And on that page they indicate that they support just about everything except Opera.
Anyway, I emailed them, their answer doesn't seem to make much sense though ...
Thank you for your email.
We recently spoke with an Opera representative in regards to many Opera
users experiencing difficulties while navigating our website. From our
conversation, we deduced that due to new security updates and secure
connection requirements on new, modern websites, some members using
Opera will not be able to access our website and any other website that
has the latest security requirements. Members looking for explanations
need to contact Opera.
We have no plans on making our website less secure. However, the Opera
representative did not mention when and if Opera is planning on taking
necessary measures to enable all Opera users to navigate our website
without difficulties as well as any other website that has the latest
security requirements. Thank you for contacting us.
Sincerely,
Customer Relations

We no longer support browsers that don’t conform to the latest browser standards and are incompatible with newer Web technology. About 99 percent of our customers already have switched to the next generation of browsers.

You mean, IE 4.
We are sorry Interval International no longer supports browsers that don’t conform to the latest browser standard. That includes Netscape 7 and Internet Explorer 4.

They are actually using TLS 1.0 instead of TLS 1.1, which we support. Using TSL 1.1 would make them more secure, not less, and would allow us to work as expected on their site.

What requirements were those, and when did you speak to them? Opera is
much more secure than some of the versions of IE which you allow, so
frankly I find the security aspects of your reply hard to believe.
You do note also that I was able to navigate around your script to get
to your email form, so if there is any validity to your claims then your
implementation is very poor.
