Problem with opera 11.60, Twitter
SInce the last update of opera I have problems with certain which makes opera hangs and freeze, I have to kill the app everytime.The most notable website where this systematically happens, is twitter.
Whenever I enter terms in the search bar, it hangs and I have to kill the tasks in the console. I ran some test, disabling all extensions, emptying private data, change skin and masked myself as firefox, nothing changes.
This also happens, more sporadically, on android market webpage.
Does other user noticed the same thing?
OK. I really don't understand where is the problem. I emptied all private information. I backed up my .opera folder and start deleted a bunch of files in it. I ran some test with an empty personnal folder calling opera -pd "myfolder". After a bit a utilisation, the bug comes back, I cannot make any search on twitter befor it freezes.
This does not happen with other programs (like chrome), and I am really clueless to what causes the problem. Some other people seems to have freeze problems as well, but not with specific sites like twitter.
While calling opera nothing suspicious appears in the console before the bug, it display some calls to some fonts in /usr/share/fonts/ which are perfectly standard and used all the time by other programs.
Plus, google video chat does not work anymore, more precisely it does, but bug after a while of utilisation.
I don't feel 11.60 is stable at all, or if it is I don't feel it is an improvement of 11.52.

I've noticed the same problem the past couple of days, a complete freeze when trying to access Twitter. It only appears to happen once I'm logged in there, seems related to the new interface somehow.
I get a bunch of text written to the terminal window where I launched Opera from when the freeze happened and can supply that if necessary. Also, running Ubuntu 10.04 here.
