Auto update function not working
I run Mint 11 and Opera 11.5.2. I would like to upgrade to 11.6 but the auto upgrade feature isn't working. My system is up to date even though I know there to be a newer version of Opera. I have run the update manager but the Opera update isn't an option. I have checked in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ and don't see any mention of Opera there. What code do I need to insert, or how can I turn on the auto update function for Opera?11.60 was released on 6th of Dec. As of today, Dec. 11, 11.60 has not yet been added to the .deb repository. I'm currently running LinuxMint Debian Edition which is based on the Debian testing branch. I've opened the Update Manager and also refreshed it, but there is no update for Opera.
In my installation, Opera is listed in /etc/apt/sources.list
From the Update Manager, Opera may be in the sources list for selection. Go to Edit, Software Sources, Other Software tab. You will also need to add the 2011 key. Directions can also be found here: http://www.opera.com/support/kb/view/841/

ruario,
I wasn't sure from mcduling's post if he had Opera in his list of software sources.
I now have 11.60. There is a version of Opera filtered by LinuxMint. It is identified as 11.52-1100-1linuxmint. I never installed it since I already had 11.52. For anyone else using LinuxMint, I used these steps to get 11.60.
1. Open Synaptic Package Manager and go to World Wide Web non-free or search for Opera. Highlight the Opera package and select Package > Properties > Versions tab. It currently shows 11.60-1185 (testing) and 11.52-1100-1linuxmint (debian).
2. Select Package > Force Version and there is a drop-down box that shows both of the above versions. I selected 11.60 and clicked the Force Version button.
