Save to PDF
HiIt would be wonderful to have the option to save webpages as PDF documents. I already save a lot of pages in MHT which is perfect but it requires me to open Opera which I can't do if I am working on a resource hungry project (I make music). PDF viewers like Sumatra PDF are really tiny so its a lot of help reading stuff I need while working. Currently I use Bullzip PDF printer driver to print webpages to PDF documents, but the process is not swift and the printed pages don't have active hyperlinks. This should prevent people from printing out webpages to hard copy wasting paper.
This feature will also allow people to port the articles and stuff they intend to read to a tablet to read later. Also good to take snapshots of webpages for webdesign and other purposes.
Thanks!
PDF saving would make Opera more bloated and the PDF loses data such as links.
How about opening up the MHT in IE6? Which loads quicker and uses less resources.
Failing that, Opera 10.0 was a quick edition before the "Unite Bloat era". 10.0 loaded a bit quicker.
9.2x was speeedy, but didn't save MHT's properly all the time.
10.10 was problematic opening MHTs. 10.50 saved MHT's nice and good, but was massively bloated and slow.
11.60 doesn't save the MHT file extension, but is less bloated than 10.50.

Dear Barry,
Your insight is great and your solution is also doable. First of all, my purpose of posting this suggestion here wasn't just for my benefit, it was also beneficial in my opinion in Opera's expansion and advancement.
Secondly, the way you define "bloated" would mean every new feature added to Opera will make it even more bloated, meaning Opera should always use its current set of features and reduce/improve them. For me, bloated would mean extra strain on the activity than is necessary while browsing, something happening in real-time, which I don't think will be the case with PDF export. It will be just like MHT export functionality, a set of functions invoked in time of need.

Its not a new idea — Save Web Page as PDF.
I do think it will add a lot of code, and Print to PDF driver or save as MHT are already available (best if you want links). Save as screen shot is best for a WYSIWYG copy of the page, but of course is not selectable text.

I see the general problem in that pdf is page-oriented while normally websites are not (rather they operate on one big pane) ... so directly parsing stuff to pdf would most probably create output of a single big pane which contains the whole website rather than being broken down into single pages.
PS: generally there is a software for parsing sites into pdf, called Prince
