Timeout trouble
As a software developer I like to use Opera mainly for stability and its restoration of your windows when you restart your computer. However, I have three problems that seem to be getting worse recently:- one is that Opera is very slow to start. It really takes several minutes. If you look at the task manager you see that Opera uses less than 20% of the time when starting. For the rest the computer is just idling. It may have something to do with my protective programs: ZoneAlarm, Avira and Ad-Aware but I don't have similar problems with other browsers
- occasionally Opera gets very slow (and eats all the processing time) and I have to restart the computer
- I use some internal software that dynamically fills html <select> tags. Until now this worked - also for large numbers of entries (I go close up to the 1000). With the newest version of Opera it only works for small quantities. I haven't checked exact limits but 135 is already too much. When there are too much entries nothing is filled at all.
