Disappearing Favicons in Opera

Has anyone had a problem with disappearing personal bookmarking toolbar favicons in 11:60? It has been a problem now for quite a while. I had a previous thread about this topic, but it disappeared. rolleyes

It may seem a trivial bug to some but to me it is just shoddy development. You can't sweep these things under the rug forever. I have never seen this bug in Chrome (the world's most popular browser), SRWare Iron, Firefox, IE, Safari or K-Meleon. SeaMonkey suffered for a short while but it was rapidly addressed & fixed. Unless users question bugs like this, they will never be addressed by the developers.

You can't silence the end user by just deleting posts that ask difficult questions.

I wonder how long this post/thread will stay up, until it too disappears?
So, Howie, when are you going to apologise for accusing me of calling you a liar & claiming that I am a Mexican?

Give it time. I think it is more likely to affect Windows than Unix/Linux. This was established in the previous thread, which was deleted unfairly.

yes, I noticed that thread was strangely GONE.

anyway, Bloke, as the disappearing may be a windows problem maybe you need to examine and list your particular specs so the nice Opera folks can pin down where the problem is. What is your Windows OS for example?

It's been a few days I since the new install and I don't think I have seen any favicons winking out on my Ubuntu.

It happens on both of my computers, Vista Home Premium (notebook 32 bit) & Win 7 HP 64 bit desktop, & all of the laptops at work, which are predominantly Win 7 Professional, using Opera Portable.

If they can fix it in Ubuntu they can fix it on Windows.

If you're talking about the "Opera 11.60 is buggy" thread that was deleted because it was just flame-bait with nothing useful to say.

I haven't seen any thread started by you on this issue, so I cannot comment on whether it was removed unfairly. Rarely does that happen. Threads more often get locked, if your thread was deleted then it was probably in flagrant breach of the forum rules.

Complaints about moderation usually get deleted. Contact a mod if you think you have been treated unfairly.
