Opera Mini 6.5 for BB Pearl 8120 over Wi-Fi?

I installed Opera Mini 6.5 on my BB Pearl 8120 but when I try to get online using wi-fi it says "No Connection"! Isn't there some way to get Opera to work on wi-fi? Or does ver 6.5 just not work at all, should I try an older version, what's the deal?
