Prioritize bookmarks over history for address bar searching
Problem: In Opera 11.52, when you searched in the address bar, the drop-down suggestions prioritized (listed first) bookmarks before history. In Opera 11.60+, history suggestions are provided first. This ordering does not make sense: if I bookmarked a website, that means that I would like to visit this website again. If a browsed a website, I have not made judgment whether I want to return to this website. Thus, when I am searching in the address bar, please provide search suggestions prioritized to websites that I specifically marked to ease my search in returning to that website. A site I visited weeks ago that contains a single keyword of my search query should not be listed before my bookmarks.Solution: Prioritize search results with bookmarks before history.
Commentary: I can hit "CTRL+B" and use the "quick find" search box, but this takes a two more clicks than clicking the address bar.
Users of Opera: please vote in the poll!
Thank you,
~Ibrahim~
We should bring back bookmark priority to the search suggestions

I'm done thinking, I agree with your suggestion.
Opera have changed too much recently, they should not try to fix what is not broken!

In earlier versions, when you typed an URL in the address bar and it was already saved as a bookmark, it would not only show above any history items. It would also display WHERE in the bookmarks it was saved.
I have 1300 bookmarks stored in 260 folders. It can be very useful to see where that bookmark is stored when you type the URL.
I'm not sure if this is completely on the topic here, but at least it is another side of the same issue.

Wandering electrons, the blog.
And I want to add that the previous (11.52) address bar did not only search the bookmarks titles, but also nicknames and descriptions. This comes very handy when you have a short nick name for a bookmark; just enter it + press enter and the page will be there.
I also made intensive use of the description search by deliberately entering alias names and synonyms into the descriptions of bookmarks to find this bookmark much later on, when I might have forgotten the name of that page.
I am not sure if the new (11.60) version can do this because it is confusing and unclear - it doesn't show text excerpts which I really miss.

+1 for prioritizing favourites over history / search (preferably favourites above history, search suggestion only in search box and/or after search shortcut typed in the addressbar)
+1 for displaying the location of the bookmark
What he said. That's exactly what I want.
EDIT: scrap that, the search suggestions are still above the bookmarks for me right now

This new behavior destroyed a way to quickly utilize bookmarks I had accustomed to:
I have bookmarked multiple sites of same category, say news sites. For each of them I have assigned a nick name in the form of "news <site name>". Say, I have a collection:
news bbc
news cnn
news theguardian
When I typed "news " to Opera's address bar, the drop-down list showed me all the news sites which I could quickly pick one using arrow keys + enter.
I cannot do this anymore because of the changed way of prioritizing drop-down menu items.
Given that the priorization would be fixed at some point, I would still like Opera to suggest a unique bookmark so that I could just press enter. For example after typing "news b" + enter, Opera would open the BBC news website.
Another way of achieving the same would be to make a bookmark folder out of the "news" instead of it being a prefix in the nick names.
IMO, the right display order should be :
- bookmarks
- history
- search engine
Also, I would like the favicons be displayed in the drop down address bar for the bookmarked elements.
Thanks

I don't matter about search engine, for me it should be:
search engine
bookmarks
history
I was habituated with it before the changes
