PLEASE HELP! need to restore default browser to PIE

I have several local web pages I store on my storage card I use for work and for some reason Opera won't show them, they just come up blank, but now I can't even get PIE to open them because Opera is the default browser, how do I put the default back to PIE? PLEASE HELP!

Tell PIE you want it to be the default browser.

Okay, that is the perfect solution. Now, why don't you give us some actual help by explaining how to tell PIE to be the default browser?

Tirs, I have reread the forum name three times now but it still says "Opera for Windows Mobile" not! 'PIE for Windows Mobile'.
Do you have some special glasses that I and Saddle Magic don't?

I agree with the original poster and his right to ask the question - Opera gives the option to be your default browser - fair enough - but not the most intelligent option to give with Beta software where you may well encounter problems.
I too would like Opera to tell me how to restore my Internet Default browser to PIE (for obvious reasons).

Cheers - Brent

PS - bring on the Smartphone Opera version .. please ..

.. I apologise for the last post. "Intelligent" is something I do associate with Opera, not with my loading it onto a Smartphone.

As I have since removed the software from the phone, the question remains ...

Cheers - Brent.

Opera = Opera software.

PIE = Microsoft software.

Would you ask for a Big Mac at a Pizza Hut?

I cannot believe what's going on in this thread. 9 (nine!) reply and NO ONE gave evlfred any help. No one EVEN tried to help him. I'm really sad.. :frown:

Anyway, evlfred, here's the answer to your question: download a little and freeware program called myExtension. You can find it here. The program is really simple. Just associate .html and .htm extensions to \windows\iexplorer.exe

Isidoro

Risidora's comment is good way. But the path '\windows\iexplorer.exe' is not work my wm2003.
So, I change that path is 'iexplore.exe file:%1'. It's fine.

I too am dismayed by the tone this thread has taken. I had the same problem. Thanks Isidoro for taking the time to provide a real answer! I got to say I like Opera and use quite a few of its versions. I have desperately wanted a replacement for the PIE on my PocketPC and am very grateful there is a Beta to try. Having attempted to use it as the default browser did cause some trouble for me and I needed a way to click on links and get to the PIE again, as the default. I look forward to moving beyond the Beta and purchasing a robust Mobile product from Opera. Although, I would love to leave MS in the dust, the negative, non-supportive responses found here really were of little help and support to at least two needy Opera fans. Again thanks Isidora for being a positive, supportive member of the Opera community.
