Send E-Mail on specific time.

Hi Opera engineers,

I would like to be able to send some of my E-mail on a preconfigured schedule time.

I am asking for an option witch will give me the date and time on witch my E-Mail will be send.

To work, the server, not my computer, should do it. Because my computer could not be on or opera not running.

This is not just for birthdays, but also so that if I work in the night on a text, I can send it next Moring, at 8 AM, to a bank for example, or some business partner.

I do not always want them to know that I was up all night to work on it.

Can that be done ?

I think that Outlook has that option, but I am not sure, because I am not using it.

If you can make it come true,
Thanks a lot,
Ecaille

I don't know of any such (wide-spread) server-side extension ... at least from reading up on this outlook tutorial their solution also sounds client-side based.

When I send a fax via pamfax I get that option at the end; I can indicate when the fax should be send.

I would like to have the same possibility in opera.

But if you only can give a client-side based solution, then this is better then nothing. I would simply leave my computer on with the monitor off, so it does the sending when it is supposed to do it.

SOLUTION available now:

Since I still need that service, to be able to send an E-Mail on a specific time I did a search, read forums of people wanting the same thing, and this solution was pointed out. It is the only one which works for me so far.

Only problem; it will use his system (LetterMeLater.com) to send your E-Mail. So you will not find your email, which was sent, in your E-Mail account unless you add a CC (copy) to yourself. This should be done in order to get legal proof that your e-mail was sent. And it allows you to find out if everything happened like wanted, since you get a copy of the e-mail you did send.

So overall it is a really good solution. Until Opera integrates that option or/and G-Mail does it. Since a lot of people want it everybody should do it. It does not look that difficult; I am sure they, Opera and Google, can handle it and offer it to us. However, until then you have:

LetterMeLater.com

(Is it because of the copy you have to send to yourself that it is called LetterMeLater?)

See you,
