Thunderbird IMAP and folders
How do I get my messages from custom folders to be downloaded by e-mail client?I've set up Thunderbird to use with my mail.opera.com account via IMAP. When I checked my mail, only Inbox and Trash mail.opera.com folders were checked and only messages from those folders downloaded, even though I have multiple other folders on mail.opera.com, each with some messages in it.
I referred to the mozilla support article on IMAP synchronization http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/imap-synchronization When I went to

I see only Inbox and Trash folders.
Clean install of the latest Thunderbird.
What's happening is that Thunderbird is auto-subscribing you to these folders. We are discussing the best solution to this internally.
Please do not email me directly unless requested to do so. Thanks!

Not on the default subscriptions, sorry. In the mean time, you can click on the myopera account in Thunderbird's menu, and select "Manage folder subscriptions" under "Advanced Features". There you will be presented with a list of folders to subscribe to manually, where you can select all to subscribe and click "OK".
The "offline use" dialog you showed in your first post is not related.
Hope that helps! Let me know if I can help further.
