Endless redirect loop

Tried it in the latest Opera 12 preview, same problem
however some people have no problem, and this is reproduced with a new profile with default settings
I think what's hapenning is that Opera encodes all URLs into a canonic form internally and then escapes them later to send the request
so the web server expects %e2 and when it gets %E2 it redirects to %e2
Opera gets %e2 and encodes the URL to %E2, hence the infinite loop
ok: %e2 always becomes %E2 and %A2 always becomes %a2
what are the rules here? I don't get it

Hi, this is a known bug/incompatibility (CORE-39327) and will be fixed when we get to it.
I'm afraid the only workaround is to use another browser for those URLs..

I'm not sure if it's the same thing but there are some sites that I cannot log into with Opera 11.62 or 12.
I click on 'login' and the page just reloads. I find login somewhere else on the site map or whatever and it always go back to the home page - I never see the login page itself.
If I uncheck enable automatic redirection I can't even load the page - its just blank.

I'd guess it's different. I've never seen ANY other site break because of the issue described above. If you create a new thread (preferably one per site) in this forum and tell me when done I'll have a look. Or PM me if they are sensitive/private and you don't want to post publicly
