They can't choose Chrome as it's a non-free app, It's really hard to say that if Google will feel happy abt all this, maybe not, I think they (Google) see the Chromium tree as dev centric, not end-user centric. I might be wrong here of course. Anyway one thing I can guarantee you, that newbies(so to speak), especially who are jumping from windows won't be happy, they expect google-chrome like functionality(& features) and missing that they will blame the OS i.e. Ubuntu.

Ha! I think the decision is already made anyway, did you notice the mention of 'Ubuntu Touch', that's your clue. yuck

That's true right enough.

There's nothing to stop them installing Opera or something else if they wish, but yeah they will probably blame the OS.

Yes I saw that and you are most likely correct in saying the decision is already made.

Well this week I learned the new kitty Nixie is not much of a mouser. I saw her playing around with it the other evening, but the little bugger managed to sit right behind her while she tried to retrieve it from the bookcase she thought it was under. doh

Fortunately the pro mouser Clint was available to administer the coup de grâce (though not after spending time having some fun of his own with it for an hour or so).

And I don't mind that he eats them (actually, this is preferable to finding the carcass in some inappropriate spot), but please, not right in front of me. yuck

You're going to have to get him to teach Nixie how to do things properly.

I think they do that on purpose you know. They are merely showing their slave owner how it's done.

I would say unfortunate that you don't, as they provide hours of entertainment. bigsmile

I would have to second that opinion. Cats are so much more low-maintenance than dogs and not nearly so needy of attention (of course, when they do want attention they can be quite insidio...I mean clever...about how they get it).

Clever is one word you could use right enough. That just doesn't give a clear insight into their wily ways though. wink

If I had a choice I'd rather have a cat. If it's a dog it'll have to be a tiny one, like a poodle. smile

Can't say that would be my number one choice, (in fact a Poodle would be way down the bottom of the list). wink My choice would be a Boxer dog, a bit big though if space is an issue. We used to have a Yorkshire Terrier as we adopted him after my father died. He was mad as a brush, the attention span of a goldfish, but a loveable little scamp. smile
