Proxy authorization

Hello.
I got some problems with authorization on proxy server: opera ask me for login/password every time. Of course, I use "Remember password" checkbox, but it's very annoying to see this dialog every time I open new site. If there a possibility to manually set login and password for proxy server, or make Opera take login/password from my windows account?

Hi, I've also got the same problem. It's quite bothering to input your password every time you visit a new site. This makes Opera nearly unusable for us users who are connected to proxy servers.

To opera devs, i hope you can fix this. This is still evident in your latest release (11.62). In fact i think it got worse since now the sites won't load up anymore after some time after inputting your password for proxy authentication.

May I suggest you implement the way mozilla/chrome handle this kind of situation. They use the system's proxy settings.

Please fix this. Thanks! smile

Hi
I've also the same problem. The proxy-window always appears, that's really annoying...
I hope for an early fix of this problem, i like opera and don't want to switch to another web browser.

And, as darklight721 already said, it would be nice if you can implement it like the way Firefox or Chrome handle this.

Thanks.

As my new job involves the development of corporate web sites, for which Dragonfly is essential this issue is forcing me to ignore Opera in favor of Firefox/firebug. Not a result I am particularly happy with, the sooner this is fixed the better.

Does anybody know if this bug has been reported?

As of version 11.64 (build 1403) this appears to be resolved for HTTP at least.

It appears to have stopped working for HTTPS (port 443) altogether.
I have not checked FTP.

Upgrading to 12.0 I continue to get the same error, no matter how I configure the proxy. When I attempt to manually configure the HTTPS and FTP proxy, the setting is lost the next time I view the settings. Using the "Use this proxy for all protocols" is remembered. This is how the other bowers are configured so this should work. However, with this configuration I get either a "Could not connect to proxy server" or a "Could not authenticate" when attempting to loading Dragonfly.
