Videos have echo

When I view a video with Opera there is an echo like the sound is repeating itself several times. I changed to Explorer to see if it was something wrong with my computer and had no problems. Does anyone know how to fix this in very simple terms. I am not real good with the computer other than turning on and off and doing simple things. I have the latest version of Opera as I just reloaded it. Thanks!

I'm having the same problem . . too bad not one person has even attempted to help! I just started using Opera a few days ago, at first it did not produce the echo/stutter effect (and still does not always do so for every video but about half of them seemingly at random whether youtube or other source) but it is very irritating. I find that playing the video back from the stored folder the echo is absent so it is an effect that only takes place during download and listening to the download. I have XP, never had this problem with IE or Foxfire etc.

Help! (Is anybody out there??)

I went to http://www.youtube.com/html5

And at the bottom of the page there was a link indicating that I could LEAVE the HTML5 test.

I clicked it and it changed to Join the HTML5 test.

Refreshed a page with an embedded youtube video that was skipping, and now it doesn't skip anymore.

@whitedredscott said that leaving/joining the HTML5 video test and then leaving/joining again should work.
Try leaving the HTML5 video test to see if there is any difference and then try while joined to see if there is any difference again.

Then you may have been subscribed automatically. Leave the trial to solve the echo problem.

I checked the site before saying, so I knew I wasn't joined.

Instead I found out that a program I recently installed had tampered with my overall audio settings, so it wasn't Opera-related at all. I'm fine now and sorry for the false alarm.

I fixed my YouTube echo by leaving HTML5 trial in Opera -- as posted above.
at http://www.youtube.com/html5

But I did need to close and re-open Opera for it to take effect.
