Duly ignored!

I attempted to remove a silly thread that I opened only to discover that it was impossible. I was, however, able to massage it into this silly, but less silly, thread.

If you're in a position to delete this thread, please do.

Your Humble Silliness,

Jaybro

I was, but now I've grown fond of it.

Ignore my request to delete this thread for the moment. Or ignore my request to ignore my request not to delete this thread. The ball's in your court.

Perhaps I should hold a plebiscite.

Until recently I'd thought Quine's formulation of the Liar's Paradox was the best: "Yields a falsehood when appended to its own quotation" yields a falsehood when appended to its own quotation.
Well, for technical expository purposes. (That is, speculation.)

But then I got George Boolos' last book Logic, Logic, and Logic; and discovered that –as always– language and logic both outrun the strictures and structures of "artificial" disciplines. (See ¶ 28, Quotational Ambiguity)

@Jaybro: I'm gladdened, that you somehow managed to get me to pay attention to something that no longer exists… Next, I plan to revisit somebody-or-else's thread on Atlantis.

p.s.,
If I delete this post, have I effectively ignored this thread? Certainly not!? Google knows… Casche snapshots, etc.

If you can't see the thread for the posts then I would say you are ignoring the thread whilst posting here.

And the answer to the question, "What is the sound of one hand clapping?" has always been obvious: Slap.

But Paul McCartney has released an album called "Kisses on the Bottom"… I confess, I understand less and less.
I've always been a fan of the Bros. Gershwin. And their contemporaries. But Sir Paul is –correct me, if I'm wrong– supposed to be a Rock Icon!
(Didn't Rod Stewart do something similar, a few years ago?)

There's good reason to believe that Jeff Beck might have been a much better guitarist, had he had training… (His own comments about the folk he met in Nashville.) But some people continue to believe only the "raw" un-tutored talent is legitimately creative.
Pshaw.

(It took an exceptionally long time, I admit. But now I'm fairly convinced that the creative force of Lennon/McCartney was the fellow that I didn't like: John Lennon.)
