Opera preferences in Ubuntu
I recently installed Ubuntu on my computer and downloaded Opera. One thing I liked in Windows was when you single click in the address bar it automatically selects all the text in the bar and replaces it when you start typing a new address. In Ubuntu I don't have that feature, it just puts my cursor at the end of existing address. I understand I can double click or hit F8 or Ctrl+L to select all the text but I'm currently used to simply clicking in the address bar and typing away and I would like to keep doing that. I was able to fix the problem in Firefox by going into about:config but I couldn't find what to edit in Opera or if it is even possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you!Highlighting the entire URL field after a single click is not native on *nix platforms. There is a reason for this. It would cause the primary buffer (the classic *nix clipboard) to be overwritten all the time.
Highlight some text in any *nix application and then middle click in any field that accepts text. It pastes the text that was highlighted (the primary buffer). Hence, if single click highlighted the entire address then a single click then it would wipe the primary buffer.
