Should it be possible to use the file I/O API inside an extension?I'm trying to use the file I/O API in an extension (dummy.oex example), but Opera refuses to load it.
If I try to drag and drop the oex file, the install dialog doesn't pop up. If I drag and drop the config.xml file, Opera loads the file as XML as described in the archived discussion. There's also no error message on the error console. If I remove the <feature> element from config.xml, the extension loads properly.
From Chris Mill's reply, I assume that it should be possible. With some of the older articles, it's very confusing to determine whether some features will work in widgets and extensions, or just in widgets.
Any help would be much appreciated!
