PayPal bugs in Opera 11Hello all,
There would seem to be a number of issues with using PayPal with Opera. It seems to get stuck a lot and also it has a tendency to log me out of the site and not let me back in. Problems do not occur in IE9. No biggie, I can use IE9 for this one site, but I thought you should know that it don't work right.
I have now gone to 2 different vendor sites and opted to pay through paypal. Both of these sites got stuck when trying to redirect to the PayPal login. I switched over to IE9 and they both worked fine.
As per the first poster, I also had problems within the paypal site as it seems to get stuck/slow when switching some pages while logged in. I did not get it dropping my login. The problem is not nearly as apparent in IE9.
Paypal doesn't redirect from Ebay's checkout.
Pictures won't load on Ebay, I have to refresh several times to get them all to load. This also happens with some Vbulletin, Yahoo and Google sites as well as an alarming number of other sites. It's beyond frustrating to have to re-load sites several times in order to get them to load...
Previously I could proceed from ebay to paypal to complete transaction while using opera. The above version does not work. I then must close opera, open Internet Explorer to log onto ebay and then continue with transaction, which brings me to paypal in France, where I am connected. There was no problem before with Opera, here, or previously in Ireland, connecting to paypal from ebay.
I tried clearing cookies. This had no effect.
I then found that I had entries in password manager for ebay and paypal - must be never save the password entries. I deleted these and tried again. No more hang, ebay went straight to paypal.
I hope this helps someone else.
I have experienced this very problem for at least 4 to 5 years. It started several versions back. It affects any and all websites that I order stuff from and try to pay with PayPal. The switch from the vendor site to the PayPal payment site just does not work, period. And I don't give a hoot about "clearing cookies"! If Firefox/IE can do it without deleting cookies, then Opera should be able to do it too!
When I plan to order something online, I don't even start with Opera anymore. It's a waste of time to go through the ordering process only to repeat it all over in another browser.
I've been using Opera ever since it cost money to get rid of the advertisements, must have been the mid 90ies or so.

Posting in this forums doesn't mean that you will get a response from the Opera people. Make a bug report about the problem here https://bugs.opera.com/wizard/ . It is the best way to notify the devs about a problem.
But new is, that redirecting from Ebay to Paypal takes more then 5 minutes waiting and looking at rotating hourglass. Sometimes I even can't wait until Paypal opens and then I use MSIE to complete transaction instantly.
Noone just doesn't seem to care to fix it :-(
Loading of paypal.com takes forever. I am loading through paypal.co.uk, but checking archive and history is also loading forever.
My progress bar at bottom of the window say:
Sending request to www.paypal.com...
It works perfectly fine from other browsers...
After deleting all paypal cookies it works for couple of hours then it is again loading the PP forever.
Same problem here, no matter on what site I try to make a paypal payment, Opera just gets stuck loading at the point when you are supposed to be redirected to PayPal . Refreshing the page, and then try to make a payment again, the browser instantly redirects.
So there is definitely something not working right here, this was never a problem for me until Opera 11.
There is a few important commonly used sites that absolutely need to work on a web-browser (amazon, steam, ebay and google for example), or else people are going to be switching browsers. And I consider PayPal to be one of these critical sites, it's worrying how long it has already been without a fix.
While on ebay, I selected "continue with paypal" (or whatever it says), and, it did in fact go to the paypal (it did not get stuck like before), but opera itself entered the wrong email address for the paypal. And it kept forcing this gmail, and i use hotmail for paypal. Took me about 6-7 tries to make it work.
This all happened right after i deleted cookies/history.
It's too bad too because I really liked Opera. Oh well.

Sorry to hear that. Are the new problems you're seeing "never-stops-loading" issues, where Opera doesn't load the web page completely?
Anyway, we'll keep working on it - and I guess we need the luck too.
