Could not access IMAP through ssl with unverified certificate

Since the build 1301 there is no way for me to access my mailbox with opera IMAP client if the server uses unverified certificate.
When opera tries to access the server the popup asking to accept certificate flashes and disappears immediately.

I only see one message in error log (even though I keep trying to check mail and the popup keep flashing):
"The connection with the IMAP server was unexpectedly interrupted."

Please fix this ASAP.

Thanks, Oleg.

This is a real bummer for me.
I've been reporting it since the 1301 build, and so far didn't get any feedback.
Could someone please clarify the status of the issue?

Need a test account to play with. But, even if it's confirmed, can't do anything about it. Opera's pretty unresponsive to cert issues (even if it's just related to the cert UI).

Please let me know on the progress.
Thanks, Oleg.

I can confirm the problem. Boy, that dialog flashing is really annoying.

I'll play with it more tomorrow. Please keep the test account active for a bit.

Thanks for working on this.
Actually there is no test account right now and getting one might be a difficult task, so just getting an authentication error (instead of The connection with the IMAP server was unexpectedly interrupted.) would be fine.

O.K.

I couldn't find a way to work around it, even by fetching the cert via openssl, saving it as a pem file and importing it as an intermediate. Since the cert chain is still incomplete, the warning dialog will still pop up (and disappear) where you can't approve the cert. I filed DSK-359729 on it.

Here is a curious thing.
Today Opera start complaining about certificate of imap.myopera.com , which is reasonable because it has expired.
But it does let me accept it, as the dialog does not flash as with the previous server.
The dialog doesn't remember the setting about 'Remember my choice for this certificate', but I gathered this will never be fixed.

Yep, noticed that too.
