Opera Mobile 12.0.1
Hi,We have released an update to Opera Mobile 12.0 for Android.
Change log for this update:
* Fixed problems with lags and freezes while URL loading on some devices
* Fixed problem with urlfilter.ini blocking pages loading
* Fixed problem with SVG set as the background rendering
* Overall stabilization fixes
Known issues:
* Wrong colors on camera preview on Galaxy Spica device.
Update is available now in Android Market and will be available on our servers later. All users are recommended to update.
Big thanks to all of you for your constant support.
You are the ones that keep us going so please continue to give us feedback on the forum.
Also please report issues using 'Report a problem' tool in Help (add as many details as possible no matter how irrelevant you think they might be. Especially: ROM you have, any modifications you did to the system, etc.)
It now freezes more, and lags more. So in my eyes, you've made the issue worse, and not improved upon it :-(
I literally can't start scrolling down until it *has* finished loading the URL :-(
it's so bad, I can't even be asked, to see if you've fixed the other issues, that I submitted reports on.
so thanks for the effort, anyways, but you've made it worse not better - sorry.
The comments in the google play shop (yes I know, sounds rubbish - android market is what i'll always call it in my head LOL) aren't too kind either.
so it's back to 11.5 for me.
if anyone else wants old version, then click on my older posts.
*NOT* a good release.

Samsung Galaxy y, running stock 2.3.5 Gingerbread, and Samsung galaxy 5, running cm 7.2.0 port (madteam port by psyke83)
just did a clean install, and to my surprise, it's fixed the problem :-)
I just tried to scroll while the URL was still loading, and there was no freezing or lag.
so if anyone else finds the update not improved, then uninstall, and download again. Even the skeptic in me is now happy.
Also i've noticed that the bug I reported for http://mobile.twitter.com/session/new crashing Opera Mobile, has been fixed too :-)
so, for *me* the issues i've had are fixed.
I did have smooth scrolling enabled via opera:config before, so maybe there is a issue there. Unless the clean install cleaned up the lib files. Perhaps they didn't update correctly?
Anyways, I'm happy now. I'll stick to opera mobile 12.1 now
Thank you opera devs! you deserve a drink LOL

I got almost 400MB free RAM and Opera 12.0.1 is still loosing all my current work after buying it to background. Every single tab is reloaded , everything I write, every single login. Did U guys removed multitasking compatibility or something ? It is absolutely not a Android problem. Two reasons : version 11 didn't do that and with 400MB free RAM Android is not shutting down background aps.

I see it happens on gingerbread also. On two devices with ICS (phone and tablet) it also just crashes with video. Just try any engadget.com article with video. It also crashes opening flash settings or the about flash website.
I looked through my posts and apparently at the end of february it worked.
So the 12.0.1 update or the two lastest flash versions made it crash again. Just have to disable flash since it also crashes sometimes with the grey play button.
