Can non-My Opera users comment on my blog?
Sorry if this is a very obvious question - please be patient with a beginner! If I start a blog in My Opera and change the settings to Public, does that mean that anyone could add a comment in reply? I wouldn't want friends to have to sign up to My Opera if they didn't want to.Ian
You have to enable allow anonymous comments.

Not quite.
You can choose to keep a page or post non public which would lock it from view of anyone but Opera admin and yourself.
You can choose who can comment on public pages. You have a choice of no comments, opera users comments or anonymous comments.
If you limit comments to Opera users, all their comments will go if they are banned or if there is a glitch or if they are removed in error and re-instated.
If you reply to a comment do so with a quote from a relevant part of their comment or it may make your thread look odd if the comment you reply to disappears.
On your first post in a thread (New Post) somewhere down at the bottom of the page is the setting you want:
Share with:
Everyone Friends Private
Just tick one of the three.
I am pretty sure I have a setting that only allows comments from Opera users.
My stuff is like gold, if they want to make a remark about it they have to at least join Opera's community. I don't mind if they do so from Firefox, Konqueror or even Aiee!!.
