TV Series

Now I know you don't spend your entire day behind your computer. You are bound to watch TV at some point, so when you do; what are some of your favorite shows???

I absolutely love The BigBang Theory.

I watch TV while I'm on my computer.

Daytime TV generally sucks, but I'll tune in on some of the court TV programs...People's Court, America's Court, Judge Alex, etc.

Right now though, time to pop in a DVD and watch some Star Trek Next Generation.up

I'm so glad I got rid of cable TV and went pure streaming.bigsmile

Honestly I don't watch a lot of TV especially during the day. Disney and nick are usually on all day (for my children). My time is to watch what I want is at night. That is if I'm home or not asleep lol

What, don't you mean you watch TV while you're on the computer AND talking on your cellphone while smoking your cigar and maybe a glass of Martini all at the same time? bigsmile

I've already watched all the episodes of Star Trek Generations at least 5 times lol so... my fav TV show is Fringe and Stargate SG1.

I'll have you know I seldom talk on my cellphone; I usually text on it...from my computer, of course (the Airdroid app rocks!).
But pretty much spot on with the rest of it. up

Haven't checked out Fringe yet and haven't heard much about it.

Missed out on SG1 when it first came out, but am slowly working my way through it. Bad part about having years of crazy schedules...miss out on a lot of the good programs out there and have to play catch-up later on. awww

Haven't heard of Fantasy Factory. One of the disadvantages of being "disconnected" from regular cable TV is you miss out on new stuff going on.

Small price to pay to NOT have to pay cable's excessive costs.

Ehhhh! I'm sure most people wouldn't watch it, it's on MTV. There's not a lot of people that watch MTV. I just like to laugh and his stupid stunts and the things he says, does it. We have cable but I don't watch much TV. It's usually on cartoons for my kids. lol

He also has another show on there called Ridculousness, where he goes thru you tube videos and talks/makes fun of them. My boys like that and America's Funniest Home Videos. Funny how we get pleasure out of other peoples pain. whistle

Ah...MTV. I can remember when MTV played music videos (yes; I'm an old fart).

Trivia time! What was the first (and somewhat prescient) music video played on MTV? Extra point if you can name the group.

With today's gas prices, at least it's a short trip. bigsmile

Can't say they didn't appreciate irony back then...hehehe.

Gas prices these days really suck!

One of my fav as well! Unfortunately I haven't seen any episodes ever since Supernatural moved to a premium channel a couple years ago. Not sure if I wanna pay $60/month for Cable TV because I only watch TV on weekends.

Damn spammer scum!

I am surprised though that Supernatural has lasted this long. Never really saw anything about it to hold my interest.

As for keeping up with it; there's always torrents. wink

Just go to a torrent site and start searching for what you like. The Torrent Search Engine at http://torrentz.eu/ can find lots of stuff.

Holy cow! I typed in "Supernatural" on that link's search box and it gave me all the seasons 1-12 available for download, lol bigsmile

But somewhere at the bottom it says:

Using BitTorrent is legal, downloading copyrighted material isn’t. Be careful of what you download or face the consequences.]

Yes...torrents are a slippery slope. There are more than one way to defur this particular feline though. There are some programs that let you use your computer as a DVR so you can record stuff. Find a video streaming service like Netflix or Hulu and you can view episodes on those.
