2-way Sync Opera contacts with Google contacts

Haven't found a thread for that yet in the wish-list forum, so since this is a wish I'll put it here:

I think it would be great if Opera could 2-way sync its contacts with a Google account. That way it would be much easier to keep my smartphone and my desktop in sync.

+1 also for Google Reader synchronization. I'm using a lot this service, and unfortunately I can't use Opera to read the news because the lack of this little feature. smile

I vote Yes. How about iCloud also. Is SyncML an option for this?

I have to use Outlook, iPhone but have choices on other 2 pc's and tablet but desire 1 source of the truth for contacts

Sync with Google Contacts and or iCloud (if somehow possible, if not manually would be nice, e.g. from Adressbook export or so) would be great!

Please, do it. I like Opera and I have to use Google (i like it too, usually). I would like my Android tablet and Android phone to be included in this project, too. Well, i swear i will buy it on Opera Martket smile (or whatever market).
Just i want to use Opera further...and thanks for new beta, its perfect!

I second that, but with more than just Google Mail, AFAIK other websites/applications have to option to access a more or less wide range of mail providers for address data, so it's feasible. SyncML and similar stuff for flexibility would also be cool.

+1 This is the reason I have 2 separate address books.

Opera Contacts should be able to cope with all the types fields in my Android Phonebook.

Is there a 3rd Party tool that can already sync them?

I vote for Google Contacts and Outlook Contacts sync. The last would come handy for Windows8 native Contacts too.
And power up Opera Contacts as a whole, and thinking in a completely integrated Opera Calendar yikes

Just make sure open protocols are supported for Syncing.

CardDAV for syncing contacts

CalDAV for syncing calendar events (if you ever do a calendar).

Implementing CardDAV & giving me more control over Contacts would have me switch from a being a Thunderbird user to an Opera Mail user instantly.
