Opera 11.62 hangs with www.netbank.com.au for many Australian users.
The latest versions of Opera (11.62 and possibly 11.61 though I'll check and confirm the latter) hang when trying to access Australian's largest bank's online services at netbank.com.au or what that redirects to .I got around this by clearing the cache, deleting cookies and clearing the persistent storage. The problem came back last night and simply restarting the browser fixed it this time.
I encountered this on multiple PC's in multiple areas (work, tethered wifi on laptop, home) on Windows 7 X86_64 and Ubuntu 10.04, fully up to date).
I made a forum post here where 4 other users have experienced the same problem on different platforms (and surprisingly only 1 troll showed up): here . Apparently my solution didn't work for them.
Any ideas about fixing this problem for all of us?
Cheers.
Likewise -- I'm having the same problem since the 11.62 upgrade. Worked ok (mostly) in 11.61 -- occasionally didn't load -- but hasn't got past https://www.my.commbank.com.au/netbank/Logon/Logon.aspx with the message "sending request to..." in the progress bar since the upgrade.
I am suffering from this issue as well. Only my browser is not hanging, the page just simply wont load. It gives the appearance of attempting to load the page but nothing ever comes up. Furthermore, I am finding similar behavior on many if not all HTTPS sites. A page refresh sometimes fixes it, sometimes I have to restart the browser. It is not an issue on their end because I can load up any page in question fine on any other browser I have installed. This is a recent thing for me as well. One of the last 2 or 3 opera releases.
Would love to hear of a fix for this.

Good to hear that at least someone else is getting this. I thought it was happening because of my abnormally heavy usage of the program and the fact I have its cache moved to a ramdisk. The only reason I have gone looking is because it used to work fine. : \
Clarification: It is not that the entire browser hangs but rather the page simply doesn't load (same issue as the commenters above me are having). It either does not load at all, or loads incorrectly and will not allow a login.
Is there a place where I can download old versions of Opera? If so, I may try and determine exactly which Opera version is causing this.
Would it also help if I post a screenshot of the incorrectly rendered version which I sometimes get?

For older Windows versions of Opera, look here: Opera archive-Windows
Opera 12.14u (1738), 11.52 (1100) & 10.63 (3576) running on various Windows systems from Win7-64 down through KernelEx4-modified Win98FE (proof that reports of Win98's demise are greatly exaggerated).
Opera 12 build 1359 works on the second bank link https://www.my.commbank.com.au/netbank/Logon/Logon.aspx , but not the first. I'm not a customer, so I didn't log in.
