Opera Turbo using Chinese server, how to change to another server?I'm a happy Opera Turbo. But, today, Opera (Turbo mode) became very sluggish.
It frequently showed messages that Turbo is not available.
Sometimes, opera report error page "Connection closed by remote server". (the connection is still fine).
AND, Google is redirect me to Google Hongkong, I found out that opera use Chinese server instead of US server (as before).
How can I configure Opera to let it use other server instead of China server.
PS - no idea on Turbo, sorry.

Also, I have change search engine to google.co.uk, but Turbo always disconnects if enter some sites (may be traffics from China are blocked), if enter Google's cache, if download some files. It's randomly, some works, some not.
It's strange, as before, if Turbo is not available, then Opera loads webpage without Turbo, instead of showing ERROR page, or act likely that the connection is interrupted (not loading page with busy progress bar).
I don't know, but it happens together when my Opera use China Turbo server.
PS1: If some elements of the webpages (ads, frames...) are not loadable, then the Turbo is disconnected and the whole website stops loading.
PS2: I'm living in IndoChina not China, so I don't know why my Opera use China server.

Of course if Opera's Turbo server is actually in China, they will have to follow China's restrictions on access. (Content-length:0 means the file returned was empty.) I'd recommend you try to find some other server not inside China to use.
The problem is that, I, as user, have not ability to choose which the Turbo server to use.
And, as I have said, Opera change to China server just 2 DAYs ago.
Opera started to open beta today officially Chinese Opera Turbo Acceleration Server–for Chinese users to provide whole network acceleration, this is the Opera in Norway outside of the first groups to speed up server.
After downloading install selected Chinese, should China accelerated servers is selected automatically.
Why I was forced to use China server, and there's no explanation from Opera????
Turbo is the only reason for me to use Opera at all.
Just a thought.
Try to download the Opera_English_setup and see if you get non Chinese turbo servers with it.
Select during install (Options) the USB mode and English as the default language.
If this works you either keep the English install package or modify the installation of the international package accordingly.
Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death.
It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle: when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.
opera10-turbo-ch.opera-mini.net for Chinese users.
opera10-turbo.opera-mini.net for others.
Here, in Vietnam, if ping to these servers, all redirect to Chinese server 188.8.131.52
It's can be test with using proxy with Turbo enabled, and IP lookup service. Users from Vietnam, now, are redirected to China Turbo Server.
Thank you for your help. But I think I don't waste your time and effort (and mine, too) anymore.
I complained likely Opera is *my* software, in fact, it's their software, it's just free in price. They decided what they want (like to make Opera be free software).
I feel sorry that I acted like a jerk in other topic. Bye!
