Cleared private data affects dictionary?
My computer is running sluggish so :Settings > Preferences > Delete Private Data
How does that affect the dictionary it used?
I was doing all right for once with real English but now it appears to be speaking USAn again. That is a major pain in the arse.
Edit:
Maybe I'm being paranoid only have English GB in the settings so maybe it was just the odd word misspelled
A fellow Briton of yours was complaining about some of the "American" spellings in the British dictionary. After checking a few words myself, we found it was only words ending in -ize that it wasn't flagging as incorrect, other American spellings like "color" or "center" were marked as wrong. Another user pointed out that (according to a real dictionary) -ize was in fact a correct British spelling, though -ise may be preferred.
Example:
recognize recognise
The US dictionary marks recognise as incorrect, the UK dictionary accepts both.
If you really want, the menu does include a "Remove word" option, if you remove "recognize" then it'll only accept "recognise". Mind you, that's only one word, there are probably several related words you may want to remove.
