can't get Opera Mini or Opera Mini Next to work on my android 4.01 tablet

I've loaded and unloaded and loaded opera mini version 7.029530 from the marketplace or play store.
It loads up, but when I go to a web page I get blocks of color and then it crashes.
Very frustrating.
Any Help?
