Equivalent addon sought to one ex Firefox for O
hello people, the current version of Opera is extremely impressive! However to move me from Firefox there is one critical little add-on that I use constantly in my work and fun. It is called quoteURLtext and allows you when you are browsing to highlight a segment of a page and simply right click on the quoteURLtext option on the Right click and with a little bit of customisation which are simple options in the initial set up and this is the kind of post information you can save to a notebook program anywhere:
***************************************************
Date & time
URL of page
Tab/topic
The snipped info
*******************************************
exactly as in the above example.
The only thing I could add to it as a wish list option would be to automatically create a short URL
Try right-click on selected text, add to note. Double-click the note in the Notes Panel to return to the URL.

Hi there Pesala,
thanks for your quick reply. The option suggested is quite a useful one,but it is a bit unwieldy compared to my old favourite.
The sheer volume of clippings that I do in my research collection means that even a few steps saved is very valuable.
I actually use this little program in conjunction with a paid-for one called NoteTabPro Which allows me to segment the data very simply as I cut and paste It in the organised fashion made possible by QuoteURLText.
I can't believe that there aren't others out there - it isn't complex programming....
