your phone is java so 6.5 is the latest and stable version,try it on
http://m.opera.com or if you want some new feature just try opera mini next on
http://m.opera.com/next but this is beta version so there are some bug..

Oh I tried 6.5, and yes it's better than 5, and also it's working fine... Then after 10mins I'm using it, it hangs then says application error... For c3 I think the stable version for it is 5.1 or 5.2

you must report it to opera mini team trough bug report wizard that the latest version is unstable for your phone..
