Whats ths best MMORPG?

Present I would have to say World of Warcraft. In future, I am willing to say Diablo III. I played the private beta, and all I have to say is "wow".... Just "wow". I can't wait for it to come out. I am interested in seeing what everybody else in the MMORPG fan base perfers. <MMO>

Evony? Not the same thing at all.

Star Trek OL was mildly entertaining. pvp sucked and missions were* lacking but it went 'free to play' in January and they added user content since cryptic gave it up. I haven't tried it but I've heard it's better.

I used to play multiplayer games but quit since my village, colony, etc keep getting destroyed when I'm offline. Also the strong always take advantage of newbies by raiding them. Furthermore, those who pay have an advantage.

If you get enjoyment out of something you shouldn't mind paying for it... I don't mind paying a dollar for a game on my phone, for example. If I play the crap out of it for awhile it's quite the bargain actually and a lot of smaller developers will be inclined to further develop the little game I like. Often they give you and ad version (they are making money there too) with a dollar or so to remove them... I block ads to my phone but still donate if I appreciate their product (apps too). Games/apps like this are more likely to listen to user input than big name titles and I don't feel like I need to try to get fifty dollars of use out of a sub par game... I pay what it's worth to me and I like that approach. Which is why several MMO's are moving to free to play but you buy custom and advanced features. If you like the game this would be Nbd as you would normally pay for a game you think you may like so it's win-win.

Yes, but why should I play or pay just to have the big guys pound me and rob all my resources. I had to be up 24/7 to protect my territory and plus, the game logic is very very confusing. Eventually game up..

I stick to train and tramway simulators where I can reproduce things like the factuals. Test your grey cells and building is great.

For me MU Online. I really love the style (armor, weapons, wings... look awesome) and the events, looting just like Diablo. But it's an old game though.
