The S60 Team
as mentioned in feature where to find that option pl help
u mean there will be pop up when new version will be avialble that great I have installled willl post the report
Example: need to type username and password to login and you only type in username and Opera automaticly submits after you close input field for username and you don't even get a chanse to type password Opera Mobile v11.5 for S60 (Nokia N8) had better support for video.
In v12.0.2 (2254) and even previous versions of v12 all show the preview picture for the video, but no way to press "play" in the video frame. Pressing the preview picture does nothing (I can only long-press to Open Image, Save Image, etc.), so I cannot play the video.
In v11.5 (1947), there is no preview picture, but I can press the "play" icon in the video frame, and the video would open in the phone's native video player.
You claim the new version supports html5 video better; I don't think that's true.

Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
Simon

Nokia N8
Youtube for mobile works OK. Youtube for desktop is a bit patchy - some open in the native player OK, some say "Video Unavailable" in the video frame, some start to load but then the native player says, "General: System Error" and quits the video.
However, sites like redtube (which used to work in 11.5) no longer work. In 11.5, the video window used to be black (no preview image) with a small "play" icon. Pressing "play" would open the video in the native player. In 12.0.2 (2254), there's just a preview image, and nothing to click on. I've also tried to load the page without images, but still nothing to start the video with.
Actually, there was an earlier version of v12, probably (2169 or earlier) which still had that video support for redtube - the "play" icon wouldn't be in the correct location (it would be under the video, but you could find it if you were looking). It was almost as if the "play" transparency was not aligned with the video frame. But at least the video would still play in the native player if you could find the icon. Now, there appears to be no icon at all, just a preview image.
Hopefully I have delivered my findings in a genuine and helpful way.

Thanks,
Simon

i have problem with Youtube videos too. :-( (with latest v2254, Symbian Belle, Nokia 701)
- m.youtube allows me now watch only 176x144 videos (its really bad quality!!), previous Opera gave me at least 320x240 which also wasnt very good, but it was watchable..
- desktop version is much better with the quality now!! (480x360), but it gives me often errors „the video isnt available at this moment” & the response of desktop version drives me crazy..
So please, improve playback quality of m.youtube to 480x360 and higher! It will make me happy
Can auto submit be disabled?
If not, the facilty to do so should be implemented as a priority.
- a connection error using my Nokia N97 with WLAN and 3G
- an error with a database and something with "line 66".
What can I do to make it successfully run in my machine?

Auto submit is a disaster on the Nokia E6 it is now no longer possible to navigate and interact with sites and enter text using just the hardware qwerty. That is an unecessary backward step that does not improve anything.
Touching phone screen outside text input area will avoid auto-submit. Please use this way.
And Mannes, the download path bug? Also in this version isn't a know issue...

I despise touch screens which is why I have a full qwerty device. I prefer to use the keypad and dpad as much as possible and can still do so perfectly with v11.5
I never used to have to juggle around like that when writing in and submitting forms, so why do we have to now?
Auto submit is not an improvement, it's a complication to be worked around

Thanks for continued updates for this platform. Sadly though, with 12.00.2254 I'm still seeing the issue where speed dial follows redirects and modifies the stored URL, making it useless with many sites that redirect for authentication, such as Twitter and Google Reader. This didn't used to happen with Opera mobile 11, and with Opera Link enabled my desktop speed dial gets corrupted too. I reported this bug against the last release - is there chance of a fix, please?
It has been two months since I reported it here and also filed a bug report. I was starting to think I was the only one bothered by this.
The new mobile speed dial is unusable for pages with authentication. Also, it's behavior is inconsistent with the desktop version.

Same issues 'Memory Full. Please close some applications and try again'.
Also, latest version crashes more than update 1.
Please please 'post' the updated version number & build(as well) on the official "opera servers", "Nokia store",etc. whenever there is an update to the browser. This helps all the users to verify the update more accurately.

Opera Mini 7 S60.

B otherwise, use YouTube Downloader app.
2. I encountered memory out situations often with many tabs open on a 5230. Rarely on the 603.
Can't do much about older phones and tiny RAM.
That said, opera mobile its a dream on the 603. I can go weeks before encountering a rare crash with many tabs open each session.

Waiting for a new update.

Edited - Oh and lets not forget Swype, which seems to have stopped development of their useful keyboard too. I guess this is the story of Symbian really.....lots of useful an innovative products / applications that were just half finished.......doh
I hope I am wrong but I think that is a clear sign that Opera Mobile for Symbian will not be further developed. Maybe there is a chance when Opera Mobile 14 for Android comes out of beta it will be ported to Symbian.
It would be nice if a member of Opera staff could confirm the status of Opera Mobile for Symbian.
