Hi. As far as I am concerned the opera 9.7 you are talking about is a pre-installed application. Deleting or uninstalling may be hard, in fact, impossible as it is regarded as a system file. Even if you go check the installed applications list, where uninstallation of softwares is performed you will not see opera 9.7. All you will see is the new installed opera 10 and other applications you previously installed. These are the only softwares you can successfully uninstall.
