How to access proxy settings on Opera Mobile?I tried out a VPN program that screwed up my connections upon uninstall.
I use a Samsung Intercept Android with the built in browser, Opera Mobile and Opera Mini.
I installed AnchorFree HotSpot Shield beta for Android and it told me it would not work with wifi on my phone and to switch to 3G, which i did. It then popped a window for a proxy setting which I filled out as instructed. I tried Opera Mobile and the built-in browser and the VPN would turn on and off as I opened or closed each program. So far so good. But I really needed VPN for wifi use at public hotspots, and this would not do that, only on 3G. So after a few days I uninstalled it.
Now I cannot connect to the internet via the built-in or Opera Mobile browsers! I get a "proxy error" or "web address not available" notice. Curiously Opera Mini still works (perhaps because I did NOT test Mini out while the VPN was installed). There is NO support on the AnchorFree site, just a lot of complaints in a forum. I did find an FAQ with info buried deep inside saying that if uninstalling you must first use the VPN's config setting to switch proxy from auto to manual. But already uninstalled I cannot access such. I tried reinstalling but since it could not detect a 3G connection it would not complete. (My phone shows a 3G icon and various other apps access the internet. so it is just these 2 browsers with problems).
I have searched menus on the Opera Mobile browser for a proxy config and can find none. Same problem on my phones built in browser. And no settings in phone setup menus.
Given Mini works, I tried uninstalling Opera Mobile and installing the latest (12) version. But still get the proxy error notice.
How can I get at the Opera Mobile proxy setting?
I started in DOS days so am used to setting config's & ini's and such. But I have to find them to change them. Where is it?

I think you're talking about Opera Mini, not Mobile because there's no any Java version of Opera Mobile.
