Google Drive uploader not working in Opera latest

Hi I use Mandriva with Opera latest, I have tried to use Google drive and it cant allow me to upload files to it. Anyone has similar experience, it seems Drive and Docs are the same, neither works for me.

Please comment.

Have you tried setting your browser to masquerade as Firefox or Internet Explorer in Edit Site Preferences? Just a hunch; no experience, as I don't use Google Docs or Drive, but that'd be the first thing I'd try.

I too am having this problem. I'll try that masquerade thing -- totally forgot about that -- and report back, but has someone reported a bug for this as well?

K...

Masking as Firefox - Same Problem
Masking as IE - Not even a dropdown menu

So yeah, this is a problem...

Sorry, I just deleted my reply above yours (that's if you were responding to that), because this thread seemed more appropriate to mention the Google Docs upload issue. But, yeah, just checked it out and Google Docs uploading is broken with Opera.

There is a quirky way I use to get the upload dir to pop open so as to a select files .

1> In Google Docs/Drive move your mouse arrow to the UPLOAD ICON { a pop up under the icon should say 'UPLOAD' in a black box }.
2> Left click on the UPLOAD ICON { Google will display a popup for FILES & other items }.
3> Don't let your finger off the mouse button.
4> Move the mouse arrow over to the popup box to FILES.
5> Now release your finger on the mouse and UPLOAD FILES box should appear so you can select files.

Under Pref. I do have Java, Plugins and content blocking enable.
Might have to clear cookies and try again.
Let me know it works.

The Files option never gets shown. Instead you get: "No upload method available. Please check your system configuration."

Worked on Windows here as well! Surprisingly too, as there is no hover highlight. Thx EdDataFix.

I try to upload a file to my Drive. It looks as if it's uploading but then it just hangs there.

no file gets uploaded (and I was trying to upload a zipped file). I did it with FF no problem.

I made sure pop up windows were allowed (i've found that some problems are solved by this). However, it makes no difference in this case.

I've tried Masking as Firefox. Still No way to upload.
