An equivalent api to Chrome's Webrequest please?

A webrequest api is important for extensions like ABP, enabling them to cancel started requests. After Chrome 17 introduced this api, ABP followed really quickly to release a version for Chrome. The full doc about this api is documented in the below link.
http://code.google.com/chrome/extensions/webRequest.html

Of course Opera already provided a URL Filter way to accomplish this job, but it's not enough, at lease not enough for ABP, due to the lack of advanced syntax.

I believe an ABP for Opera will be useful and popular for users, so could you please consider adding such an api to encourage we developers?

If Opera decides to go even further on this subject, provide more apis as firefox, it will be great.

Best wishes.

Since that Opera will remove Unite and Widget, then do more things for extensions API. Additionally i hope that block content can count how many times the rule works because it seems that a big urlfilter.ini is a burden to Opera.

Opera can adapt to the world, but that should not be at the cost of making any of them both stupider
