Clarification, this fix is for some SonyEricsson, Siemens and Nokia devices where the option to turn on navigation animations might get disabled after a number of Opera Mini sessions with it enabled. More precisly non-symbian MIDP2 phones from these manufacturers with a screen width less or equal to 176 pixels is affected. If you run Opera Mini 2.0 on one of these devices, we strongly advice you to update. If you don't then we advice you to update anyway due to other bugfixes.Navigation animation should not disappear after memory problems

Worked, of course, but is definitely much more expensive than downloading via http and Bluetooth-Transfer

Agreed. I only get 2MB/mo. so I'd prefer to be able to manually download on my desktop and install that way.Worked, of course, but is definitely much more expensive than downloading via http and Bluetooth-Transfer
EDIT: nevermind, I see they're updated now. Thanks!

If it's not in the client, then the issue might get resolved by a server update, and thus not requiring you to download a new version of Opera Mini.

ok, thank you for letting me know thats it getting looked at, i dont know if this helps or not but when i go to settings and check the box for higher image quality for the opera forums it loads some of the images but still not all of them liked it used toWe are still trying to solve that problem. As of yet we do not know if the problem is on our servers, some gateway/proxy in between, or in the client. We are still having a hard time reproducing the error on any of our devices (and we have a lot of them) in our end.

A server update should be enough to work around this problem. I have no ETA on when this will happen, but it should soon unless we find any negative side-effects from the workaround. We will let you know when the fix is rolled out.

However the images are rather small, and bigger ones are still not displayed at all. Can something be done to increase the image size at the expense of the text if need be?
Will the page-size jpeg images as in version 1.2 ever return?

Also, from the bug report I seem to remember that you are running Opera Mini Basic on your device for some reason, basic never had fullscreen JPEGs. Shouldn't you be running Opera Mini Advanced on that device?

The workaround to remove the resets on Palm/Treo devices included lowering the image compression on those devices. The bad side is that some pages will get larger, the good side is that the images will look better and of course less resets (if any).
Thanks for replying..
Is lowering compression applied to images or text (html) or both?
because I don't tick 'Show images' option
