New tab in the foreground/background modifiers
It's a must, Opera should really have this in the context menu or somewhere.I miss to be able to choose wheter to open searches in new tabs in the foreground/background (and from links context menus and for the selected text "Go to web address" option). I think the context menu has room for this, but could also be allowed to turn on shift or capslock and press enter in the keyboard perhaps?? A little button in the interface?
Haha, you know it Opera, I want the desktop experience. The actual mobile experience keeps making me to hit back after I press a link on that page, or even having to copy and paste.

Whenever I do a Google search I always open a result in a new tab, but I want that tab to be at the front. That way, if the page isn't what I wanted, I can hit back (which closes the tab) and I'm seeing the search results again and go try the next result. I know that works within the tab too, but going back within a tab often causes a page reload which is slow, never closing the first tab is quick. Keeping the search results open also cover the case where it takes several results get the info I need.

I have a very bad habit of opening everything in a new tab.
So it's very annoying to hold the finger for 1 second.
You can't believe, my maximum record of opened tabs is over 100.
Then what? Opera Mobile gets closed itself.
I know it's very hard to handle over 100 tabs.
There should be an option like "Open links in new tab" is settings.
So when we touch a link, it'll open in a new tab itself.
No need to touch and hold a link.

geveleigh gave a great example of having the choice, but mvthakar... that's not what I'm wanting exactly in this thread.
Sometimes I want to keep it in the foreground a little more for checking after, and sometimes I want to go to the new tab I'm opening, but currently for that I need to perform 2 additional clicks to get to the tab which is opened in the background by Opera than it'd be required if there was an option.
I think there's room in the menu to add this separate new option for opening a tab in the foreground/background like in the PC's context menu, but if Opera doesn't want that... I'm not a fan of swipe gestures, I think it's much easier to tap things on touchscreens, but if implemented I could try it as solution...
BTW, my older topic on this.
Speaking of this subject, I think Opera could be better at identifying our long-click... It selects the text of the link instead of opening the long-click context menu very often.
