[12.00 beta] Huge pages stall Opera

Hi,
I'm sort of following up to this old thread of mine. I still have the issue that very large pages stall Opera significantly.

I thought it would be pages with large tables, but I think other HTML does it as well. Take these two examples:
http://www.gnu.org/software/make/manual/make.html
http://git.gnome.org/browse/glib/tree/NEWS?id=2.33.1

If I have either of them open, Opera will stall for significant amounts of time while trying to browse other tabs. The latter of the two is really really bad. In both cases, Opera won't respond to mouse or keyboard actions for many seconds, until something happens again for a short time.

This is totally frustrating. It makes the world's best browser pretty useless. For all I can tell, neither Firefox nor IE seem to suffer.

It's really clear that it's that particular tab which is misbehaving. If I close it, Opera suddenly behaves nicely again.

What's really irritating: Once the (non-dynamic!) tab has been rendered, Opera should have next to nothing to do, especially if that tab isn't "active". But something in Opera keeps putting CPU power to that tab.

Also bad, but a side note: opera:cpu says nothing about this tab. The percentage displayed in "Other" is really high, but all tabs' values are just 0 or 1%. So that special page is totally useless for finding the culprit.

Thanks,
gibson

Opera 12.00 b1406 for i386, on Win 7 Enterprise x64. But Opera has had this for years, both Beta and stable versions.

On Opera 12.00 build 1413 (released today) on W7 x64, no HA, I have no problems with these pages.
