You tried to post more than one post within 0 days, 0 hours, 32 minutes and 0 seconds. This is not allowed. Please go back and try again. If the problem persists, feel free to contact us about it.This happened again right after I was able to post the “can’t post” post, only the error message counted 1 hour 4 minutes.

Uh oh, you've run afoul of the forum's post timer. Each time you try to repost into the same thread before the timer has expired, it doubles the time interval. Post in another thread - say, in the Testing forum - before trying to reply here, or it will likely double it again.

On another forum I visit, new user's post have to wait for approval. Once they have a few posts they get posted automatically. Its not ideal, but it stops spam dead in its tracks. None gets through at all. On the downside, it takes time for moderators, and some unapproved posts might get missed for several days.

Opera's method is better for such a busy site with now close to 10 million members (though only a fraction of those post on the forums). Any method that required manual approval would be unworkable.

I expect the time limit will drop to a more reasonable 30 seconds between posts soon.
