I can't comment on my own blog

This has been due to an ongoing DDoS attack, as mentioned here http://my.opera.com/devblog/blog/2012/05/03/my-opera-under-ddos-attack

We're trying different solutions, and as of yesterday evening (CET) things should have improved a lot. The DDoS attack is still going, though, so if you see more of these errors you know why. And you can be sure we're working hard to get things working smoothly again smile

Hi there!

We’re experiencing some slowness on My Opera due to a currently ongoing DDoS attack. I’m sorry for the inconvenience this causes. Please check by our devblog for updates.

Regards,

Robert

Now I get: "Connection closed by remote server."

I have to try posting number of times again to get the comments posted.

Yes Thomas, this is MyOpera feedback forum wink Or do you refer to way I address the posts on Twitter with @Opera? I do it because no one seem to follow @MyOpera Twitter account p

EDIT: And now the 'Connection closed by remote server' issue seem to hit the forums ads well left

But some things has improved. New 503 page is hilarious lol

yikes Someone has too much time on hand. lol

I don't get "'Connection closed by remote server" error, though, only guru meditation and bad gateway. And My Opera was reasonably responsive last night until I came offline about 2030 NZST (0830 UTC). Is it possible it's your connection (or Opera Mini server if you were using it)?

Is it possible there's an issue with that network, or there is a disagreement between your university network server and my.opera.com server?

I'm not an expert but saw someone commenting about the countermeasure taken against the DDoS attacks, saying now he/she had to use a proxy. I wonder if that countermeasure is not totally agreeing with your uni server.

This continues...

Some more information: If I post within 10-20 seconds (a short message), it goes through more likely, than spending more time on writing the comment. So, if the time lapse between page request and submit is very long, it often gives: "Connection closed by remote server." Reloading the page may help.

Workaround: I recommend you copy/paste the comment always before you submit. That way you make sure you don't lose your writing.
